Healthcare advertorials for clinics, doctors and pharmacies

How to publish an advertorial for a clinic, a practice, a pharmacy or a supplement in Romania: the legal rules, what health publications accept, what it costs.

Healthcare is the niche where an advertorial faces the most rules and the most refusals. Not because publications are fussy: advertising for medical services is regulated by Romanian Law 95/2006, and for medicines by Order 1069/2007, and a publication that lets a wrong text through is liable alongside you. This page explains what you can claim, what you cannot, on which publications and at what price.

What you can say in a medical advertorial

What you do, where, with whom and how to reach you. Specialties, equipment, opening hours, prices, the doctors' qualifications, the steps of a procedure, what the patient needs to know before and after. All of it is information patients look for and the law allows, on one condition: it has to be true and verifiable. A good clinic advertorial answers the question a patient asks before booking; it does not describe the clinic.

What you cannot say

  • Promises of cure or results. "Pain-free after three sessions" passes neither the publication nor the College of Physicians.
  • Comparisons with other doctors or clinics, by name or by implication.
  • Patient testimonials used as medical argument. One person's experience is not evidence for another.
  • Prescription medicines: advertising to the public is prohibited. Food supplements can be promoted, with the mandatory mentions and without therapeutic claims.
  • Superlatives without a source: "the best clinic", "the only treatment".

On which publications

The catalogue holds almost thirty Romanian health publications, with domain authority up to around 37, from general medical portals to sites about nutrition, sport and lifestyle. For a medical service the niche publication beats the general site: the patient looking for a treatment reads there, not in a news feed. The five most authoritative are on the Health niche page; the full list is inside the platform.

How you publish

You pick the publication from the catalogue, with turnaround and price written. You upload the text; we check it before publication for the label, the links and the claims above, and where something does not pass we tell you why. The advertising label is your obligation as the advertiser and the hosting publication’s; what each publication does is written in the catalogue. Once the article is up, you receive the verified address. The legal details, with the articles of law, are in the guide to regulated documents.

What it costs

45 lei excluding VAT (roughly €10) on any publication in our network, the same price as in any niche; other owners' publications carry their own price, in the catalogue. With a subscription the effective price drops to 31 lei. The first publication is free. Healthcare has no special rate: more rules, same price. See the pricing page.

Create your account in two minutes and your first publication is free — no card, no sales call.

Frequently asked questions

Can a doctor publish an advertorial in their own name?

Yes, within the limits of the Code of Ethics: information, not advertising; no promises, no comparisons, no fees presented as an offer. Name, specialty, location and hours are information, not advertising.

Can I promote a food supplement?

Yes, stating that it is a supplement, not a medicine, and without claims of preventing, treating or curing a disease. The permitted nutrition claims are those in the EU register.

What happens if the text breaks the rules?

We stop it before publication and tell you exactly what to change. You pay nothing for a rejected text; the credit stays in your account.

Is a medical advertorial labelled differently from an ordinary one?

No. The label is the same, "advertising" or "advertorial", in the form the publication declared. The difference is in what the text may contain, not in the label.
